#KinoNapoli ha il piacere di invitare filmmakers, scrittori, registi, attori, DOP, sound designers, montatori, ballerini, tecnici, costumisti, scenografi, make-up artists, musicisti, drogati di film… – professionisti e non – al 1° International Kino Kabaret Napoli, che si terrà a Napoli, all’Asilo, dall’11 al 18 Giugno 2015.
CHE ROBA È?
Un Kino Kabaret è un evento in cui filmmakers da tutto il mondo si incontrano per girare cortometraggi in tempi brevi.
Un Kabaret si divide in sessions. Ogni session inizia con una riunione di produzione. Se hai un’idea per un film, la presenti al gruppo, racconta la storia e cosa ti servirebbe per girarlo, più o meno così: “Vorrei fare una cosa alla Lynch, ma senza nani. Mi servirebbero 2 attori, un sound designer, un cammello e una poltrona gonfiabile viola”. Oppure puoi far parte di un progetto come cast o crew. Le troupe escono e girano, tornano, montano e prima che tu riesca a dire “dov’è la mia marinara?” il tuo film viene proiettato in pubblico! Il Kino Kabaret non è una competizione. Si girano i corti per il piacere di farlo, per stare insieme, per imparare, per rischiare. I vincoli di tempo, di budget e di risorse non sono limiti, ma stimoli alla creatività alla collaborazione, alla sperimentazione.

DOVE SI FA? (Il #KinoLab)
Kino Napoli 2015 avrà il suo KinoLab nel meraviglioso Ex Asilo Filangieri, un edificio del XVI secolo, che ospita la comunità di lavoratori dello spettacolo, dell’arte e dell’immateriale, nel bel mezzo del centro storico della città. L’Asilo ha al suo interno tra le altre cose un cinema/teatro, un laboratorio di costumeria, un laboratorio di scenografia, un bar e una moltitudine di persone fantastiche che ci lavorano! COME FACCIO A PARTECIPARE?
Kino Napoli è diviso in 4 sessions. Puoi scegliere di partecipare alla singola session o a tutto il Kabaret. La quota è di € 8 al giorno o € 50 per tutto il Kabaret.
La quota include colazione, cena (o il pranzo nei gg di proiezione) snacks e bibite (te, caffè, acqua) tutto il giorno, accesso 24h al KinoLab, sala green screen, laboratori e ingresso alle proiezioni.
ATTREZZATURA
Kino Napoli metterà a disposizione attrezzatura in base agli sponsor. Tuttavia, nel pieno spirito Kino, i partecipanti utilizzeranno principalmente l’attrezzatura che loro stessi o altri avranno la gentilezza ed il piacere di condividere e dare in prestito.
OSPITALITÀ
Tutti i partecipanti provenienti da fuori Napoli, saranno ospitati da partecipanti locali. Alcuni posti potrebbero essere disponibili al KinoLab. Se vivi a Napoli, per favore comunicaci quanti partecipanti puoi ospitare. Ti vorranno tutti bene.

Kino Napoli would like to invite all filmmakers, writers, directors, actors, DOPs, sound designers, editors, dancers, technicians, costume designers, scenographers, make-up artists, musicians, film-addicts… – professional and amateur alike – to Join the 1st International Kino Kabaret Napoli, which will take place in Naples, Italy, from 11th – 18th of June 2015.
WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?
A Kino Kabaret is a collaborative filmmaking event in which filmmakers from around the world gather to make short films in a short amount of time. The Kabaret is divided in sessions. Each session starts with a production meeting. If you have an idea for a film you can present it to the group, tell your story and what you would need to shoot it, like this: “I’d like to do a David Lynch kinda thing, without dwarves. I need two actors, a sound designer, a camel and an inflatable purple chair”. Or you can join a team as a member of cast or crew. The teams go out and shoot the films, come back, edit and, before you can say “where’s my marinara?” screen the films to an audience! Kino Kabarets are non competitive. We shoot films cause we love doing it, collaborating with crazy people from around the world, sharing and learning new skills, taking risks. Limitations of time, budget and resources are not obstacles, but an opportunity for creativity, collaboration and experimentation.
So get your creative juices flowing, team up, make short films and watch them on the big screen! In 24, 48, 72 hours!
WHERE IS IT HAPPENING? (The KinoLab)
Kino Napoli 2015 will be hosted at the amazing Ex Asilo Filangieri, a XVI century building, home to an artist community, bang in the city’s historical centre. The Asilo has its own theatre/cinema, a costume workspace, a props and scenography workspace, a bar and loads of great people working in it!

HOW DO I JOIN?
Kino Napoli is divided into 4 sessions. You can choose to participate in single sessions or sign up for the whole Kabaret. Participation fee is € 8 per day or € 50 for the full Kabaret.
The fee includes breakfast, dinner (or lunch on screening days) snacks and drinks (tea, coffee, water) throughout the day, 24h access to the KinoLab, a green screen room, workspaces and free entrance to the screenings.
GEAR
Kino Napoli will provide some equipment depending on sponsors, however the Kabaret will rely mostly on equipment provided by participants. Please be open to sharing and/or lending your equipment.
ACCOMODATION
All participants coming from outside of Naples will be hosted at a local participant’s home. Some places might be available at the KinoLab. If you live in Naples, please let us know how many participants you can host. You will become a superstar.
SCHEDULE
We recommend you arrive in Naples on Wednesday the 10th of June.
There will be a welcome party and registrations at the Kino Lab.
